Thank you for your interest. I love visiting schools, talking with book clubs, and presenting to teachers, librarians, and writers! However, you should know that in addition to writing books for kids, I work full-time as a librarian, so my traveling author visits fill up quickly.
Thanks for thinking of me and my books,
15-Minute Book Chats
If your class, school, book club, or group is reading one of my books, I love meeting with groups via Skype, FaceTime, or Google Hangouts for an informal question and answer session. You supply the questions; I’ll (try to!) supply the answers. I’m on Central Standard Time.
Longer Discussions, Presentations, and/or Writing Workshops
My in-person, longer presentations are also adaptable for virtual visits. Keep reading for more info…
Generally, I do four fifty-minute presentations in a typical day. Topics range from large-group presentations on how my stories became books, to small writers’ workshops for kids, to talking to educators about their reading and writing (here are some of my past presentations, workshops, and visits). However, I’m happy to work with YOU to create something that will have the most meaning for your group.
